Five on Black owner eyes new Bozeman restaurant as economy shows promise

A newly released jobs report shows enough job growth in the United States to help bring the unemployment rate down to 5.4 percent, the lowest it's been since May, 2008. NBC Montana spoke with one Missoula entrepreneur who is playing his own part in the recent trend.

UM Grad Tom Snyder opened his first Five on Black restaurant location in Downtown Missoula back in 2013. It's a Brazilian cuisine-inspired restaurant, and roughly two years later he's already planning on expanding to Bozeman (on Main Street), in addition to opening a new restaurant at the corner of Brooks and Reserve in Missoula.

Snyder started his first location in Missoula, on Higgins, after winning a state-wide business plan competition.
