There are some amazing women in Montana doing extraordinary things in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. Between 2014 and 2018, STEM jobs in Montana are expected to grow 21% (up 21% in computing, up 23% in engineering, and up 23% in advanced manufacturing). Unfortunately, women in Montana are not completing STEM degrees at the same rate as men. While we cannot explain why women are so underrepresented in these fields, there is good evidence that mentoring and positive encouragement are the key factors influencing recruitment, retention, and advancement for women in STEM. Every Montanan can make a difference, which is why we want YOU to take the pledge and ask that you

Thanks for your commitment to helping us grow women in STEM in Montana.
